just what happen in london when Mr Ben strikes twelve? usually nothing. but being the new year, i am sure something is up the sleeved of Mr Ben!

indeed he has! *boom*

an exciting array of fireworks display lasting for 10mins. all for 2007. revellers from spain, china, and even the tiny isle of singapore was there, not to mention the brits themselves!

there's only me and mubarak as the rest of the crew rather spend the new year watching the firework live from CNN. what a bore!

while mubarak met up with his uncle as it was hari raya haji, i spend my time walking thru london. it was as though walking on monopoly. all the roads name are familiar. if u r a monoply fan, or have played monopoly once in your life, you will know what i mean.

Trafalgar Square, Pall Mall, Park Lane, Leicester Square to name a few, i went to all of them!
below is the London Eye by the way. i did not take the ride, cause i rather see london by foot then just spending 16pounds sitting in a capsule.

above is the westminster abbey. think its a famous church. well till this very moment, i still cant figure it out as yet!

for sure, the picture you about to see is the buckingham palace. unfortunately, i did not get invited for a tea party with her royal highness. but nevertheless, i was among the hundreds who came up to queue and look look.

and oh well, i went on looking and queing till late. it was 13degrees and drizzling. and i was still not invited and i did not also spot the queen or prince william. oh well, just my luck.

or maybe, i shall see maria sharapova instead? and so i went to the AELTC (All England Lawn Tennis Club) for those avid tennis fan, i am sure u know this is a holy ground for tennis players big and rising. It is where one of the four grand slams are being played. Yes i went to WIMBLEDON!!!! (by myself that is)

bad luck i guess. i thought i could see maria sharapova but instead all i get to see close is her tennis shoes made by nike. complete with gold decorations as well!
and that's the greatest ever woman tennis player. she won the wimbledon so many many times

centre court is undergoing renovations right now, and instead we went to visit court no 1. jsut as big and famous as centre court. the AELTC is after all a club, and to be a member you need to pay a couple of hundred pounds per year. there are currently about 300 odd members. you need to get 2 exisiting members to nominate you and exisiting members include the likes of rod stewart and pete sampras. so i shall say the easiest way to be a member is to win the championship. you get an immediate membership. so start picking up the racket and while you are at it, do singapore proud to!

london could have been more fun if the manchester crew was with me. namely zalina, azfa and sharifah. we had so much fun in manchester. well i guess being in london has thought me the meaning of independence and how lonely a crew can get when they are at ex station. i am a living example. far away from home during hari raya haji and new year, and spending it all alone while the rest of the crew just cooped in their room. how sad!
